A customer is a business entity represented within the content of The Big Muddy, either by dots on the maps, intermediate pages, advertisements or within the search feature of this site. As the name implies, the customer is paying a fee in exchange for this representation and services.

In contrast, becoming a Big Muddy Member is FREE. Members may contribute to News and Forums, browse the site and download coupons for savings, but are not represented in any commercial context.

If an individual, who owns a business and is a current customer, wishes to become a Big Muddy Member too, you will then have two (2) separate log-in and passwords; one as a business entity and one as a Big Muddy Member.

Our intent with this site is to be an informational source for our communities and encourage tourism to the area. Obviously then, the types of customers that best match our primary focus are the wineries, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, band venues, retailers, entities that hold festivals, fairs, etc. We are expanding this focus in the near future to include more commercial entities within our pages, because they are a very important part of our communities too! Remember, even if your business doesn’t fall within our primary focus, or your business is from another area or are a national advertiser, you are still welcome to advertise throughout our site as long as you agree to our terms.
