Efforts will begin in 2008 to restore this original MKT train depot, one of the few in existence, to its former glory.
A big decision needs to be made before this project begins: where should the depot be located? With silos having been built up around the depot, hiding it from view from visitors, would it be beneficial
to move the depot closer to the trailhead and if so, where exactly should it go?
A little TLC, hard work and community effort and this project will be an exciting success. Please stay tuned for photographic or film documentation of this transformation.

The depot is located on the Katy Trail and Depot St. which you can access via 1st. St. from Hwy. D or Hwy. 47. Look for the large grain silos.
