Record of Boone-Bryan-Callaway related burials at the Bryan Cemetery.
Burial information content from Washington Historical Society
"The earliest known listing of the tombstones was in 1926 by Mary Johnson McIlhiney. That listing was 106
years after the death of Daniel Boone and 81 years after Kentucky's removal of bodies. The list states six Bryan stones in the
rest of the cemetery. Of the six Bryan stones that were identified in 1929 two are now missing. Mrs. McIlhiney added the graves
of Daniel and Rebecca Boone, Flanders and Jemima Callaway, and David and Mary Bryan, which are obvious for the Boones and Bryans,
and stated in other family records for the Callaways. They were recorded as buried on the cemetery by Lilian Hays Oliver in her
book, Some Boone Descendants of the St. Charles District. Mrs. McIlhiney also supposed that the only still standing time-worn
stone that is no longer identifiable as being the stone of David Bryan (but that is just a guess)."
Chronological Listing of Burials
