On July 25th, 2009, the D.A.R. rededicated the monument and installed a new faceplate made of black marble.
Now that the monument is restored, please help us get the grounds up to ship shape. This is a jewel of a historic site and preservation is underway. The Warren County Commission has turned responsibility of the Bryan Cemetery to the Friends of Daniel Boone's Burial Site in Missouri. Please visit their web site and contribute as much as you can to their cause. We think Boone wouldn't mind a little sprucing up around his burial site. Afterall, this is where his heart is!
